The Painting “The Great Migration to Britain”

“The Great Migration to Britain” (2024, Triptych, 3 x 100×60 cm), currently on display at WAES Lisson Grove, London, serving as a visual metaphor for the on-screen events.

The catastrophe depicted in the painting is not simply an image of disaster. It opens the door to a much deeper and more mysterious story — a journey between worlds.

THE JOURNEY – The English Channel is one of the world’s busiest shipping routes, with risks collisions with large ships, strong currents, and high waves.
Without help navigations signals, migrants face emergencies alone. Weak engines in overloaded boat, make control nearly impossible.
Extreme cold, wind, and waves soak the overcrowded boat, worsening conditions. Migrants, including women and children, sit cramped with little room to move. They pray, cry, and hold hands, striving to stay together in the face of disaster.

The Film “ALIEN From Different Dimensions”

The film “ALIEN From Different Dimensions” translates the mystery of the painting into cinematic language, combining visual storytelling with the themes of memory, time, coincidence and the possibility of communication between different realities.

In this project, Jurita skillfully blends visual storytelling with real-life experiences, shedding light on the human side of the migration journey. The captivating cinematography, set against the backdrop of the English coasts, along with the heartfelt emotions of the characters, will leave a lasting impression on audiences.

The Book “Saving the Drowning”

The same story continues in the book “Saving the Drowning” by Evgeniy Skoblov and Jurita Kalite.
The book expands the mystery begun in the painting and developed in the film, taking the reader deeper into the relationship between Past and Present, reality and possibility, memory and destiny.
The protagonist is haunted by vague memories. Following an unexpected thought, he begins to investigate his father’s collection of philatelic archives dating back to the mid-1970s.
What he discovers leads to an extraordinary question:
Can events in the Present influence — or even shape — events in the Past?
Can a possibility that exists only in the virtual world become part of reality?
