2024 – The Great Migration to Britain
The number of migrants increased by 30% across the English Channel on small boats in 2024.
“In this difficult situation for people who lost their home as a result of political events, I wanted to extend a hand of support.” – Jurita Kalite
For several days I walked on the coast of the English Channel for research.
One evening at sunset on White Cliffs of Dover I looked to the coast of France, and saw ships crossing the English Channel. Police and medical aid vehicles arrived on the coast. The police fenced yellow tape off an area and started investigating.
I stood and looked at this nightmare.. there was a small bouquet, somebody laid flowers on the place of the dead..
I left there closer to 12 at night.. the police continued to work..

Gilded watercolor incorporates the themes of “Danaja” and “Homo Vitruvianus. For the golden shower, used real gold leaf and metallic gold paint which add a luxurious and divine touch to the artwork.
Duality of Proportions: Merge the masculine/feminine aspects of “Danaja”and “Homo Vitruvianus” (Leonardo da Vinci) by blending the mythological and classical elements, can evoke reflections on human perfection, vulnerability, the intersection of the skying and earthly.
Style: Renaissance Inspiration, a style reminiscent of Leonardo da Vinci’s detailed anatomical drawings, with fine lines and shading.

2023 – The Last Day of Pompeii
The Last Day of Pompeii is a large history painting by Karl Bryullov produced in 1830–1833 on the subject of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79.
